Q&A about Small Group Support
-
This group is for moms who are finding the transition into motherhood harder than they expected and want a supportive, judgment-free place to talk about what they’re experiencing.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, isolated, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, frustrated, or simply unsure why motherhood feels so difficult right now.
You don’t have to have a diagnosis—or even know exactly what’s wrong—to benefit from support. We’ll meet you where you are and focus on helping you feel more supported, understood, and equipped for this season of motherhood.
If you’re experiencing symptoms that may require individual mental-health or medical care, we’ll help you identify when additional support may be appropriate.
This group can help be a part of a support plan for a person with PPD or PPA but it does not replace 1:1 therapy or medication, if appropriate.
-
Each session begins with a check-in and space to talk honestly about what’s been hardest that week. We normalize the difficult parts of motherhood, help you work through current challenges, and offer practical tools when they’re helpful. We’ll also help you recognize when additional support may be needed. Mostly, we’re there for each other. No judgment. No fixing.
-
No. This is an intimate postpartum support group that is run by a licensed therapist who is certified in perinatal mental health. It does not replace 1:1 therapy.
-
Your baby is always welcome on Zoom. If you feel more comfortable turning off your camera to feed your baby, you are always welcome to do so.
-
We check in with each other, we talk through the current challenges, we normalized the hard moments and help you screen for when you may need more support. Mostly, we are there for each other. No judgement, No fixing.
-
6 Moms total plus me, Mary your group leader.
-
If there is another group that is willing to have you join them, then you are welcome to join a different group for that week only.
